On Thursday evening girls in L6 were treated to an engaging and thought provoking talk on Gap Year opportunities with Project Trust which works with volunteers aged 17 to 19 who want to work oversees on development projects before going to University. Jen Bryham was a volunteer herself and had spent time in both Ghana and Nigeria so she was able to answer practical questions as well as using a powerpoint and DVD to illustrate the endless possibilities.
Mrs kolasinski returned to school for a second visit this year to speak about Careers using Language skills. She opined that the work is incredibly varied and there are endless possibilities for any girl who is interested In particular there is a growing demand for translators in the European Union where each document produced has to be translated in to at least 23 different languages.
Any girls who missed the talk but would like to know more should come to the Careers Department for further details.
