On Tuesday 14th March, a panel of Old Edwardians and parents shared their experiences and knowledge of financial careers. Pupils from both KEHS and KES had the opportunity to network and gain an insight into how the speakers had worked their way into finance roles within various companies, banks and other financial institutions. It was interesting to hear about the different skills and attributes required to enter and succeed in this field; good grades are expected but there is much to be said for working hard, being resilient and having something of substance about you that the psychometric tests may not identify. Several of the speakers also emphasised the importance of obtaining work experience for those interested in entering this field. Overall it was an extremely informative and enjoyable evening.
